Women these days have choices when it comes to beauty decisions. It is up to them to decide on what they think is best for them and their bodies. Some women like to go all natural and we think that’s perfectly fine. Beauty should not be defined by society but by an individual’s personal preference and aesthetic. For the women who are on the other side of the spectrum who prefer the smooth and hair free look, there are numerous choices for hair removal. Depilatory creams, wax strips, shaving and plucking are the most common methods but what most women do not know, is that it doesn’t have to be expensive. A great and economical way to remove hair without causing skin darkening and stumbles is waxing made from homemade sugaring wax! This is by far the most effective way to get rid of hair when you want to wear sleeveless tops or when it’s bikini season. The ingredients are so easy to find and are natural so you do not have to worry about chemicals and other nasty additives. This one will do the job without leaving a hole in your wallet. Here’s the recipe via Ela Gale

Ingredients:

• Quarter cup of lemon juice

• Quarter cup of water

• 1 cup of white sugar

Procedure:

• Place all ingredients in a pot and allow to boil for about 5 minutes or until it reaches a honey golden brown color.

  • Allow to cool a bit and place in a glass container.

• Cut strips of clean cloth. Apply wax against the direction of the growth of your hair and place the cloth on top. Let stick for a few seconds and pull off cloth to easily remove hair. Tap the skin to minimize the pain and redness.

This method can beat any waxing salon. It’s so simple and so much cheaper. You’ll be regretting all those times you had it done professionally. You can use this wax for all areas like the face, legs, arms, chest and even the bikini area. Just don’t overdo it because this can cause skin irritations. For hard to reach hairs or stubborn hairs that are left on the skin, use your Bella Eleganze’s tweezer to pluck them out. Always apply moisturizing lotion or aloe vera to help calm and sooth the area after waxing. You might not be as good as those professional waxers at first but with practice, you’ll be so happy you learned this recipe, we promise!
