Over the years we have all been conditioned to buy products for almost anything. All these come with a hefty price tag and more often than not, are made with nasty chemicals that could have harmful effects to your body. Try minimizing these and make your own DIY beauty products instead. We promise, it won’t be a hassle. Some are literally so easy to make. Best of all, the ingredients are often all in your pantry as kitchen staples. In this blog we will teach you how to make your own makeup remover using olive oil.

Why olive oil? Not only is it very healthy when included in one’s diet, it’s also very good for the skin! It contains the healthy fats which plump up the skin. It has vitamin E and vitamin A which are ideal for moisturizing the skin all over. We love how it nurtures the nails as well. Another great benefit is the price. It’s very affordable and is readily available everywhere. In this video, Marianna Hewitt of Moda Mob will show us how to make this all natural makeup remover. Without further ado, here’s the recipe and the steps:

You will need: An empty container, olive oil, and aloe vera water.

Fill up the container with 90% aloe vera water. Try used bottles to make this more eco-friendly.

Now fill the bottle with 10% olive oil. Be careful not to put too much. You don't want it to be overly greasy. A little goes a long way.

The water and oil will naturally be separated so shake before you use.

Wasn’t that so easy? Now use with cotton pads to gently sweep off eye makeup and your Bella Eleganze 3D Fiber Lash Mascara before washing your face. An added benefit is that it nourishes your lashes as well. Try making this DIY product and let us know what you think!
